Woofy ("we", "our", or "us") operates the Pet Rescue mobile application, website, support pages, and related services (the "Service"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal information when you use our Service to report animal rescue cases, participate in rescue activities, or support Woofy through a payment.
1. Information We Collect
- Personal Information: When you sign in via Google, we collect your name, email address, and profile information. If you act as a Reporter, you may provide additional information about animals in need, including pictures, location, and condition.
- Role Information: We track whether you are a Reporter or Rescuer to provide relevant app functionality.
- Location Data: If you submit animal rescue cases or participate as a Rescuer, we may use your location to match you with nearby cases.
- Device Information: Includes device model, OS version, and technical metadata.
- Usage Data: Information on how you interact with the app, including case reports, updates, and rescue actions.
- Support Payment Information: If you choose to support Woofy, Paddle may collect information needed to process your payment, such as your name, email address, billing details, country, tax information, payment method details, transaction ID, and receipt information. We do not collect or store your full card number or complete payment credentials.
2. How We Use Your Information
- To allow Reporters to submit animal rescue cases and display them to Rescuers.
- To allow Rescuers to view cases, offer assistance, and update case status.
- To connect users based on location for timely rescue actions.
- To provide customer support and technical assistance.
- To improve app performance, user experience, and prevent misuse.
- To confirm, manage, support, and keep records of support payments made through Paddle.
- To comply with legal, tax, accounting, fraud prevention, and payment processing requirements.
3. Payments Through Paddle
Support payments are processed by Paddle, which acts as merchant of record for purchases made through its checkout. When you make a support payment, Paddle processes your payment and may independently collect and use personal information according to its own buyer terms and privacy notice.
We may receive limited payment-related information from Paddle, such as your email address, transaction status, amount, currency, product or price ID, receipt details, and refund or dispute status. We use this information to manage supporter records, provide support, prevent fraud, and comply with our obligations.
4. Data Sharing and Disclosure
We do not sell your personal data. Information you provide (such as location or pictures of animals) may be visible to other users for the purpose of rescue actions. We may also share data with:
- Service Providers: For analytics, notifications, and infrastructure support (e.g., Firebase).
- Payment Provider: Paddle, for checkout, payment processing, tax handling, fraud prevention, receipts, refunds, chargebacks, and buyer support.
- Legal Authorities: If required by law or to protect our legal rights.
5. Your Rights and Choices
- You may choose whether to share additional information when reporting a case.
- You can request deletion of your account, submitted cases, or personal data by contacting us.
- You can contact Paddle directly for payment-related privacy, receipt, refund, or billing requests connected to Paddle checkout.
- You can stop using the Service at any time; your data will be handled according to this policy.
6. Security of Your Data
We take appropriate security measures to protect your information. However, please note that data shared publicly in the app (such as animal case details) may be accessible by other users, and we cannot guarantee complete security of data transmission over the internet.
7. Children's Privacy
Our app is not intended for children under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from minors.
